For six years, Stratford Road has been home to PDQ — which stands for “People Dedicated to Quality.” While the corporate headquarters are in Tampa, the restaurant has Carolina roots with the first restaurant based in Charlotte (and still known as “Tenders.”)

Today — PDQ is a community-focused environment with a friendly, service-oriented staff. Rhonda Martin, the operating director, is a new(ish) member of the local PDQ restaurant, having been with the company for a year.

The Historic Broyhill is a story of redemption. Built in 1925, the building was originally used as a school. However, after the school was relocated to another property, the Broyhill family purchased the building in 1981, saving it from demolition.
