The Historic Broyhill is a story of redemption. Built in 1925, the building was originally used as a school. However, after the school was relocated to another property, the Broyhill family purchased the building in 1981, saving it from demolition. Thanks to Ed Broyhill’s visionary efforts, the building re-opened in 1995, this time as the Historic Broyhill Office Suites & Event Center.
For 25 years, small businesses and entrepreneurs have reinvigorated these halls that hold generations of memories, as well as their own unique brand of ambiance and charm. It’s a place where community is built.
Kristin Johnson, the director of the Broyhill, has established herself as a go-to resource for the businesses that line the halls of the Broyhill. She and her team have created a one-of-a-kind experience where small businesses can thrive and welcome guests and clients.
The Broyhill currently has office space available, and Kristin is happy to give a tour of the available space, as well as the common spaces and amenities. Spaces are customizable, and the rental fees include Internet, water, electricity, taxes, signage, a common area, maintenance, onsite IT support, and usage of the business hub (mail facilities, state-of-the-art printer, copier, scanner, and fax, as well as document shredding).
In addition to the service they offer the business community, Broyhill provides innovative solutions to entrepreneurs, including the Virtual Office Program. This is an affordable option for those who need meeting space and office amenities but aren’t ready for a physical office.
Call Kristin and schedule a time to take a stroll through the halls that boast original hardwood floors and admire local art and photography from both tenants and outside artists. Enjoy the stadium seating that once served the students of yesteryear. Make plans to eat lunch in the courtyard, taking a moment to relish in the sunshine in a garden that is utterly charming. Admire the craftsmanship of 1925 and the beautiful walls of windows that overlook century-old oak trees!
