Economic Development at its finest:
It’s so encouraging to see a community coming together to raise money and construct a facility that is an amenity to the residents. A committee of supporters was formed four years ago, and tasked with meeting with contractors, architects, civic groups, government leaders, employers, neighbors, and business owners. They set a goal, and they achieved it. The community will now have a place to gather and socialize at a Park for their Dogs to exercise. Many folks think this is all about the Dogs. It speaks volumes about the character of our “community leaders”. If you see one of these Committee Members, please thank them in the spirit of our Chamber.
Construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of Harper Road and Peace Haven will begin as early as April.
At a January Clemmons Village Council meeting the amended site plan to construct a 312 unit apartment complex in Village Point was approved. The property acquisition was expected to close a couple of weeks ago, but did not, due to a right-a-way issue with one of the adjacent property owners. The interested parties are trying to get this resolved.
There is a new residential development called Lauren Acres underway on Kinnamon Rd. with price ranges from $299,000-350,000 for 10 new custom built homes.
